SRTI Park, Enterprise Ireland forge partnership

Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) has signed a significant partnership agreement with Enterprise Ireland. The collaboration was formalized during the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival, strengthening ties in advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and emerging technologies.

The signing ceremony saw the presence of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SRTI Park. His Excellency Hussein Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, and Marina Donohoe, Head of Research and Innovation at Enterprise Ireland, were also present. Additionally, Dr. Asma Mahmoud Fikri, Director of Government and Institutional Partnerships at the Park, attended the event.

As a result of this agreement, companies from both countries will gain better market access. It also supports the increasing trade volume between the UAE and Ireland.

Hussein Al Mahmoudi highlighted the partnership’s importance for strengthening research and commercial ties between the two nations. He emphasized that SRTI Park serves as a global innovation hub, attracting talent from diverse sectors. Moreover, Ireland’s expertise in clean technologies and precision engineering will enrich the ecosystem.

Marina Donohoe expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, describing it as a milestone for Ireland’s strategic engagement in Gulf countries. According to her, Sharjah offers Irish companies an ideal platform for innovation-driven growth and industrial cooperation.

Meanwhile, Dr. Asma Mahmoud Fikri revealed that this agreement follows a year of joint initiatives. These included trade delegation visits and exchanges of expertise between the two parties.

Furthermore, the partnership aims to foster joint investment ventures and expand market access. Training programs will also help companies adapt to diverse business environments, promoting sustainable growth.
