UAE weather update: Brace for scorching afternoon temperatures, foggy mornings

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a forecast for partly cloudy skies with a chance of afternoon clouds moving eastward across the UAE.

Get ready to sweat! High temperatures are expected to soar to a scorching 47°C in some areas of the country. Abu Dhabi residents can expect a high of 42°C, while Dubai will see a toasty 40°C. But there’s some relief in sight – temperatures will drop significantly at night, reaching lows of 27°C in Abu Dhabi and 30°C in Dubai. Internal areas will enjoy even cooler nights, with temperatures dipping down to 22°C.

Fog Alert Issued:

Motorists beware! The NCM has issued a yellow fog alert, particularly for areas in and around Abu Dhabi, which will be valid until 8:30 am on Wednesday. Abu Dhabi Police is urging drivers to exercise caution on the roads due to the reduced visibility.

Expect some muggy nights and mornings, with humidity levels ranging from 10 to 90 percent in Abu Dhabi and 30 to 80 percent in Dubai. There’s also a chance of mist forming over some coastal areas during these times.

The seas will be calm in the Arabian Gulf, with slight to moderate waves expected at times in the Oman Sea.
