The Sheraa entrepreneurship support programme aims to empower more than 1,000 entrepreneurs by 2030. The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) continues to promote innovation, business growth, and youth empowerment across the UAE.
Inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and guided by H.H. Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Sheraa is shaping a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sharjah. The centre’s goal is to help individuals turn their ideas into successful and sustainable businesses.
The Sheraa entrepreneurship support programme is part of the UAE’s national vision, “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World,” which aims to train 10,000 Emirati entrepreneurs and create 30,000 job opportunities. Since its launch, Sheraa has supported more than 450 startups, generating over US$370 million in revenue and attracting US$300 million in investments.
Sheraa offers several initiatives, including the Sharjah Startup Studio, which provides mentorship, funding, and business tools worth AED3 million. It also runs the Entrepreneurship Dojo programme to guide students and young entrepreneurs through every stage of their startup journey.
The centre’s commitment to inclusion is clear, with women leading 51 percent of Sheraa-incubated startups. Its annual Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival has attracted over 44,000 visitors since 2017, connecting innovators, investors, and leaders.
Through its wide range of programmes, Sheraa continues to strengthen Sharjah’s position as a regional hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, driving sustainable economic growth for the future.
