Sharjah Businesswomen Online Stores is a new initiative that will help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses online. The Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) has partnered with Packman Portal LLC to provide 1,000 free e-commerce stores to eligible members. The one-year programme is worth AED 3.6 million. And aims to make it easier for women-owned businesses to reach more customers.
Under the initiative, each participating member will receive a complete online store valued at AED 3,600 per year. The package includes a professional website, payment gateway, product management system, admin dashboard, custom design options, practical training, and ongoing technical support. These tools will help businesswomen start or improve their online operations.
The agreement was signed by Maryam Bin Al Shaikh, Director of SBWC. And Mohamed Al Rashed, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Packman Portal LLC. Businesses that receive at least 365 customer orders during the first year will also qualify for another year of free service.
Speaking about the programme, Maryam Bin Al Shaikh said a strong digital presence is now essential for business success. She explained that the council wants to remove barriers for women entrepreneurs by providing both technology and practical knowledge. She added that stronger women-led businesses will also support Sharjah’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and the UAE’s digital economy.
Sharjah Businesswomen Online Stores is more than a technology project. Packman Portal will also organise workshops on digital entrepreneurship, online store setup, inventory management, digital marketing, customer service, business performance, and sustainable growth. The partnership will include awareness campaigns and future initiatives to encourage more women to succeed in digital business.
According to ECDB, the UAE’s e-commerce market generated US$8.1 billion (around AED 29.8 billion) in revenue during 2025. The market is expected to continue growing by 10 to 15 percent in 2026. With Sharjah Businesswomen Online Stores, eligible entrepreneurs will have better opportunities to compete, expand into new markets. And build successful online businesses.
