Actress Anita Advani, who has long claimed to be the wife of late Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna, has reacted strongly to the ongoing property dispute involving the actor’s family. She described the situation as nothing less than “retribution.”
According to Indian media reports, Advani alleged that Khanna’s family abandoned him during his most difficult years but claimed his entire estate after his death in 2012.

The 56-year-old actress accused the family of turning their backs on Khanna when he needed them most. “Rajesh Khanna lost everything in his final years and was left helpless, but after his passing, the family became the owners of his house and wealth,” she said.
Advani also criticized Dimple Kapadia, saying the actress had left Khanna in 1982. “Over the next 30 years, he lost control of his life and career, and yet after his death, the family took possession of everything. This is nothing but deceit. Every relative deserves respect,” she stated.
Calling the matter “a big story in itself,” Advani insisted that the old court order against her holds no relevance anymore. She warned that retribution spares no one: “No matter how clever you are, you cannot escape it. The legal battle continues, and I have challenged the earlier verdict to secure my rightful share in the inheritance.”
Rajesh Khanna married Dimple Kapadia in 1973. Though they separated in 1982, they never formally divorced. In his final years, Kapadia cared for Khanna during his illness.
India’s first superstar, Rajesh Khanna, passed away on July 18, 2012, at the age of 69.
