Saif Ali Khan Recalls The Attack
Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder during an attempted burglary at his Mumbai home. He was stabbed multiple times and suffered serious injuries.
More than a year later, the actor said knives still trigger a reaction in him. He explained that seeing a knife makes him think about the attack again.
Saif said he and his family dealt with the incident remarkably well. He also said his wife was the person most affected by what happened.
The actor described himself as extremely lucky to have survived. He said the knife broke during the attack. He believed the situation could have been much worse if the weapon had been different.
He Says He Could Forgive The Attacker
Saif Ali Khan also spoke about his attacker with empathy. He suggested that financial desperation and inequality may have played a role in the incident.
He said he believes the attacker may not have fully understood what he was doing. Saif also said he would be willing to forgive him.
The actor recalled the seriousness of his injuries. He said the knife nicked his spinal cord but did not cut it. For some time, he could not feel his leg.
Saif Was Worried About Paralysis
Saif Ali Khan said there was a moment when he thought about his life while he was covered in blood. He said he felt that he had already lived a great life.
However, he was particularly afraid of being left paralysed. He admitted that he would rather have died than spend the rest of his life paralysed.
Despite the frightening experience, Saif considers himself incredibly lucky to have survived. His comments show that the stabbing attack continues to affect him emotionally.
