Dubai gold prices fall further on Wednesday as gold continued its downward trend in the UAE. The 24K gold rate dropped to Dh519.25 per gram in the morning. It was Dh522 per gram at Tuesday’s market close. The latest decline means 24K gold has lost nearly Dh39 per gram in just nine days.

According to Dubai Jewellery Group data, gold prices opened lower on Wednesday. The fall comes as Treasury yields remain high. Renewed tensions in the Middle East are also putting pressure on the precious metal.
Spot gold was trading below $4,400 an ounce. It fell to around $4,304 per ounce in early trade. This represented a decline of about one per cent.
UAE Gold Rates Drop Across Carats
The decline was not limited to 24K gold. Other UAE gold rates also moved lower on Wednesday morning.
The 22K gold price fell to Dh480.75 per gram. Meanwhile, 21K gold was priced at Dh461 per gram. The 18K rate dropped to Dh395 per gram. The 14K gold price stood at Dh308.25 per gram.
These rates are important for shoppers planning to buy jewellery in Dubai and other parts of the UAE.
Why Are Gold Prices Falling?
Analysts said high Treasury yields are creating fresh pressure on gold. Higher yields can reduce the appeal of non-yielding assets such as gold.
Simon-Peter Massabni, head of business development at xs.com, said the impact of high Treasury yields has returned. He also pointed to renewed Middle East tensions and concerns about US Federal Reserve policy.
Market expectations for interest rates have also affected investor sentiment. Recent comments about inflation risks and monetary policy have increased pressure on gold.
Middle East Tensions Add To Pressure
Renewed tensions between the US and Iran have added another factor for investors to watch. Recent military activity has increased uncertainty in financial markets.
For UAE shoppers, the key point is that Dubai gold prices fall after a sharp decline over the past nine days. However, gold prices can change quickly as global markets react to interest rates, Treasury yields and geopolitical developments.
What’s Next For UAE Gold?
The next move in UAE gold rates will depend heavily on global market conditions. Investors will closely watch US economic data, Federal Reserve signals and developments in the Middle East.
For jewellery buyers, the recent decline could offer a chance to compare prices before making a purchase. However, gold rates can rise or fall again as market conditions change.
