What Happened Between Salman Khan And Subhash Ghai?

According to Subhash Ghai, the incident happened at a party before their 2008 film Yuvvraaj. He said Salman Khan was under the influence of alcohol when they had an argument.

Ghai recalled that Salman questioned him about a decision he had made as a director. The conversation became heated. Salman allegedly abused him, and Ghai asked him not to do so.

The disagreement then escalated into a physical scuffle. Ghai described the incident as “hatha paai,” meaning they had a physical altercation.

Salim Khan Stepped In After The Fight

The situation changed the following morning when Salman’s father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, contacted Ghai.

Ghai said Salim Khan told him that he had scolded Salman over the incident. He then sent Salman to Ghai’s house to apologise.

Salman reportedly arrived and politely apologised to the filmmaker. Ghai said he was deeply impressed by Salman’s respect for his father.

The filmmaker decided to let the matter go. Their relationship improved, and they eventually worked together on Yuvvraaj.

Salman Khan And Subhash Ghai Worked Together

Yuvvraaj was released in 2008 and featured Salman Khan alongside Anil Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. However, the film did not perform strongly at the box office.

Despite their earlier disagreement, Ghai has spoken positively about Salman over the years. He described the actor as someone who does not easily become nervous, even during difficult situations.

Why Salman Avoided Media Interviews

Ghai also remembered Salman’s approach to media interviews during the Yuvvraaj promotions.

Salman reportedly explained that he usually avoided interviews because actors were expected to remain politically correct. He feared that saying something incorrectly could create controversy around the film or himself.

The Salman Khan Subhash Ghai fallout eventually became a thing of the past. Their reconciliation allowed them to collaborate on Yuvvraaj despite the difficult incident that happened before the film.
