Dubai Delivery Riders Meals: Software Engineer Donates Hundreds of Meals to Support Hardworking Delivery Workers Daily

Dubai delivery riders meals are bringing smiles across the city thanks to the kindness of a young software engineer. Tarik Toptas, a 24-year-old Turkish resident living in Dubai, has donated more than 240 meals to Careem delivery riders in just two weeks. He now plans to give away another 500 meals to support the people who work hard every day.

Mr Toptas believes even a small act of kindness can make a big difference. Every time he orders food for himself, he also pays for a meal for a delivery rider. He started this habit after spending more than a year offering water and cookies to riders who delivered his orders.

The happy reactions of the riders encouraged him to do more. Many were surprised when they received free meals such as burgers, pasta, chicken and rice, breakfast dishes, or cold drinks. Some even returned to thank him and bless his family.

The Dubai delivery riders meals initiative has grown quickly. A few months ago, Mr Toptas also handed out around 200 pizzas to delivery riders outside a restaurant. Now, he wants riders to choose their own meals from their favourite restaurants. He also hopes to arrange a meal where he can sit and eat with about 500 riders.

Originally from the Netherlands, Mr Toptas moved to Dubai to build a software and mobile app business. He has also supported charity projects for clean water and health campaigns in Palestine and Africa.

Careem praised his generosity, saying delivery riders are the heart of the company. Mr Toptas hopes his actions inspire others to share small acts of kindness because simple gestures can make people happier and create a stronger community.
