Etihad Rail Dubai Station is set to change the way people travel across the UAE. The new station will open on September 30, 2026, at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai. It will make train travel faster, easier, and more comfortable for daily commuters and visitors.
The station will connect directly with the Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on Dubai Metro’s Red Line. A new footbridge will help passengers move easily between the train and the Metro. Travelers will also be able to use their Nol cards to pay for train rides through a unified ticketing system. This will make transfers between trains, Metro, buses, and taxis simple.
The Etihad Rail Dubai Station will cut travel time between Abu Dhabi and Dubai to just 57 minutes on standard services. This is expected to reduce commuting time by up to 40 percent. Passengers will also enjoy onboard Wi-Fi and power outlets, making business trips and daily travel more productive.
The station will become even more important when the Dubai Metro Gold Line opens in 2032. The new underground Metro line will connect with Etihad Rail at Jumeirah Golf Estates, creating a major transport hub. The Gold Line is expected to serve around 1.5 million residents, with daily ridership reaching about 465,000 passengers.
Etihad Rail Dubai Station is a major step in the UAE’s plan to build a 900km national rail network connecting all seven emirates. The project aims to make travel faster, reduce road traffic, and offer residents a smooth and modern public transport experience.
