Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority

Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority will take part in the 32nd Beijing International Book Fair from 17th to 21st June 2026. The event will feature the UAE national pavilion, “Al Bait Al Emarati”. The participation shows the strong cultural ties between the UAE and China. It also highlights the importance of Emirati heritage and cultural exchange.

The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority aims to present Emirati traditions to an international audience. The authority will organise several cultural and heritage activities during the fair. These activities will help promote the UAE’s intangible cultural heritage and support cooperation with Chinese cultural institutions.

Visitors will enjoy live demonstrations of traditional Emirati crafts. The programme will also include displays of Emirati clothing, women’s jewellery, and traditional performances like Al Shella and Al Taghrooda. These heritage arts are important parts of UAE culture and history.

The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority will also hold meetings with Chinese heritage organisations. These meetings will focus on sharing knowledge and building future partnerships. The authority will also visit cultural and heritage sites in China to learn about best practices in heritage preservation.

As part of the cultural programme, a special panel discussion will take place. The session is titled “The Role of Cultural Institutions in Safeguarding and Promoting Heritage: A Comparative Perspective of the Chinese and Emirati Experiences.” Experts will discuss how both countries protect and promote their cultural heritage.

The participation of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority at the Beijing International Book Fair reflects the UAE’s ongoing efforts to preserve national identity and strengthen cultural dialogue across the world.
