Sharjah Sayer Card

Public transportation in Sharjah just got easier with the Sharjah Sayer Card, introduced by the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA). Similar to Dubai’s Nol card, the Sayer Card eliminates the need for cash, allowing travelers to pay bus fares effortlessly.

Here’s your complete guide to understanding, buying, and recharging the Sharjah Sayer Card.

What is the Sharjah Sayer Card?

The Sharjah Sayer Card is a smart payment system designed to make bus travel in Sharjah more convenient. With this card, commuters can tap to pay for fares, saving time and streamlining public transport. This initiative by SRTA aims to improve the travel experience for residents and visitors in the Emirate.

Where to Buy?

The Sharjah Sayer Card is available at:

– Jubail Bus Terminal

– Sayer card vending machines

– Mowasalat bus drivers

There are three types of Sayer Cards for different needs:

  1. Blue Card: Ideal for occasional travelers. Tickets cost AED 6, offering a 25% discount on the regular price. Cards come in AED 50, AED 95, or AED 185 options, valid for five years.

  1. Grey Card: Designed for daily commuters, offering unlimited bus rides for AED 225 monthly. Card validity is five years, with monthly renewal required.

  1. White Card: Exclusively for people of determination and social assistance beneficiaries. This card is free and valid for one year.

How to Recharge Your Sayer Card

Recharging the Sayer Card is simple. Follow these steps:

– Inform the Mowasalat bus driver about the recharge amount or subscription.

– Pay the required charges, and the driver will update your card balance.

– Receive a receipt confirming the recharge.

Currently, there is no online top-up option. Recharges must be done onboard Sharjah buses.

Registering and Securing Your Sayer Card

Registering your Sayer Card is essential for protecting your balance in case of loss or damage. To register:

  1. Visit the official SRTA or Mowasalat website.
  2. Enter your name, Sayer Card number, and Emirates ID.
  3. Set a new password.

Registration takes 7–10 days, ensuring your card is linked to your name for added security.

Checking Your Sayer Card Balance

Passengers can check their balance through the receipt provided after each fare payment. This receipt shows the remaining amount on the card. Grey card users don’t need to monitor balances, as they enjoy unlimited rides during their subscription period.

The Sharjah Sayer Card makes commuting across the Emirate affordable, cashless, and convenient. For more flexibility, you can also explore used cars in Sharjah for private transportation.
