Ex-Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina killed and dismembered by husband

In a shocking incident that has left Switzerland in disbelief, Kristina Joksimovic, a former finalist in the Miss Switzerland pageant, was reportedly killed and then dismembered and dissolved by her husband, Thomas.

In February of this year, the body of the 38-year-old model was discovered in their residence in Binningen, close to Basel.

During a reconstruction of the crime, 41-year-old Thomas admitted to the killing but stated that he acted in self-defense because his wife had attacked him with a knife. Nonetheless, the autopsy findings indicated that Kristina died from strangulation.

As reported by BZ Basel, Thomas dismantled Kristina’s body in their laundry room using a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears. Afterwards, he reportedly utilized a hand mixer to “blend” her body parts and dissolved them in a liquid solution.

Thomas was taken into custody the day following the discovery of Kristina’s body. At first, he claimed to have discovered her lifeless body and then panicked, dismembering her. Nevertheless, his request for freedom was rejected by the court, pointing to his admission of guilt and the horrifying details of the offense.

Kristina Joksimovic excelled as a catwalk coach while also being a mother to two children. In 2007, she won the title of Miss Northwest Switzerland and was also a finalist in the Miss Switzerland competition.
