Tired of unwanted sales calls? Here’s how you can stop them

If you’re fed up with pushy sales or telemarketing calls, you have options to put an end to them. By reporting these numbers to your telecom provider, they can take necessary measures against companies making unsolicited calls.

Register for the Do Not Call Registry (DNCR)

First, consider registering your mobile number with the Do Not Call Registry (DNCR), a free service designed to block telemarketers from contacting you. As of August 2023, telemarketers are legally prohibited from calling numbers registered with the DNCR, even if they had prior consent. For a detailed guide on how to register, click here.

Already Registered but Still Receiving Calls?

Despite registering with the DNCR, if you continue to receive unsolicited sales or promotional calls, you can file a complaint. The DNCR shares a list with telemarketers, specifying which numbers not to call. If businesses ignore this list, you can take further action.
