The UAE Education and Human Resources Council held a virtual meeting chaired by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The focus of the meeting was on ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education in the UAE and ensure student success.
Celebrating Achievements and Looking Ahead:
Sheikh Abdullah congratulated students, graduates, families, and educators on the approaching end of the school year. He acknowledged the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in supporting students’ academic journeys. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between families, teachers, and the government to address student challenges and help them reach their full potential.
The Council highlighted the launch of a new university classification system. This system aims to provide transparency and help students make informed choices when selecting a university. It’s expected to attract top students and educators to the UAE, further strengthening the country’s position as a global education hub.
Focus on Student Choice and Growth:
Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairperson of the Council, emphasized the importance of student growth and development. She encouraged reflection on the year’s progress and planning for continued learning in the year ahead.
The meeting was attended by high-level education officials, including the Ministers of Education, Community Development, Human Resources and Emiratisation, and State Ministers for Public Education and Early Education. Discussions centered on the results of the university classification process and a study evaluating different models of public schools in the UAE.
