UAE President Reconstitutes Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council

UAE Artificial Intelligence Council

UAE Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council has been reconstituted under a new resolution issued by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

According to the decree, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan will chair the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council, while H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will serve as Vice-Chairman. The Council includes several key members such as Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, who will act as Secretary-General, along with Dr. Ahmed Mubarak bin Nawi Al Mazrouei, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Humaid Obaid Abushibs, Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, and Peng Xiao.

Since its creation, the Council has been leading Abu Dhabi’s efforts in regulating, implementing, and developing policies related to artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. It continues to strengthen investment, funding, and research collaborations with local and international partners.

The initiative supports Abu Dhabi’s vision to become a world leader in digital transformation and innovation. It also aligns with the Abu Dhabi Digital Government Strategy 2025–2027, which aims to make Abu Dhabi the first fully AI-native government by 2027.

This renewed structure reflects the UAE’s commitment to advancing technological progress and maintaining its global leadership in artificial intelligence and innovation.
