UAE October Buzz: Which Major Event Has You Most Excited?

UAE major events October updates are set to make the coming month busy for residents and travellers. From attraction reopenings to new travel rules, here are the six most important changes you need to know.

Global Village reopens its 30th season on October 15, 2025, and will run until May 10, 2026. The family destination welcomed a record 10.5 million visitors last year. It features pavilions, live shows, food from around the world, and cultural performances.

The Dubai Fountain is expected to reopen in early October after months of renovation. The attraction has new waterproofing and blue tiles that will glow underwater, adding more beauty to the light, water, and music shows.

Dubai Safari Park also resumes operations on October 14, 2025. The 119-hectare wildlife park has more than 3,000 animals and interactive shows. Dubai Miracle Garden is expected to open soon, displaying over 150 million flowers in creative designs.

From October 1, 2025, Emirates will introduce strict new rules on power banks. Travellers can carry only one on board under safety conditions but cannot use it during flights.

On October 12, 2025, Europe’s new Entry/Exit System goes live. Travellers to the Schengen area will face biometric checks, including fingerprint and facial scans, replacing manual passport stamps.

Looking ahead, the Sheikh Zayed Festival will return from November 1, 2025, to March 22, 2026. The Abu Dhabi event features cultural shows, heritage displays, fireworks, and food stalls, celebrating Emirati and global traditions.
