UAE companies have introduced a new initiative to build essential financial skills among young students, including saving, budgeting, and strategic investing. The ‘Young Investor Programme’, launched by National Bonds in partnership with the Knowledge Fund Establishment, aims to reach 50 schools and 75,000 students across the country.
Combining classroom learning with practical, real-world experiences, the programme provides an engaging and interactive pathway for students to understand personal finance.
Initially focused on students in Grades 5 and 6, the curriculum presents simplified yet impactful lessons on financial fundamentals. Senior students in Grades 11 and 12 will also participate in workshops hosted at National Bonds’ headquarters, exploring topics like budgeting, investment planning, market research, data analysis, and communication skills to gain practical industry insights.
The curriculum includes six core modules: Money Management, Payment Systems, Loans and Debts, Savings and Investments, Insurance Protection Plans with a focus on Takaful, and Long-Term Financial Planning.
To make learning even more relatable, the programme incorporates role-play exercises, interactive case studies, and practical workshop sessions to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
