UAE Gold Prices Record: 22K Gold Hits Dh500.25 — What’s Driving the 50th Surge?

UAE gold prices record

UAE gold prices record a new high as bullion rates surge again across the country. On Tuesday, gold reached fresh all-time highs, driven by a strong global rally and rising safe-haven demand. The crowd-favourite 22-karat gold crossed the Dh500 mark for the first time, highlighting the strength of the ongoing upswing.

UAE gold prices record levels show 24-karat gold climbing to Dh540.25 per gram. This was a 1.37% increase from Dh533 a day earlier. At the same time, 22-karat gold rose to Dh500.25 per gram, up 1.29% from Dh493.75. Just a month ago, on November 24, 24-karat gold was priced at Dh495, while 22-karat gold stood at Dh458.50.

This marks the 50th record-breaking day for gold prices in the UAE this year. The rise mirrors global markets, where gold jumped past $4,480 an ounce after a strong 2.4% single-day gain. Silver also hit fresh highs near $69.70 an ounce, adding to the precious metals momentum.

The rally is supported by expectations of US interest rate cuts next year. Lower rates usually make gold more attractive, as it does not pay interest. Central bank buying and steady ETF inflows have also played a major role. Geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty continue to push investors toward safe assets.

Over the past month, gold prices climbed steadily. Early December saw prices move into the Dh510 range. Mid-month trading was briefly stable before another sharp rise. By December 22, prices crossed Dh530 for 24-karat and Dh490 for 22-karat gold.

UAE gold prices record gains are testing buyer budgets. Still, analysts say gold’s role as a trusted store of value remains strong. With global demand firm, prices are expected to stay elevated into 2026.
