UAE Football Association Legal Action: Al Ain Club Faces Trouble

UAE Football Association legal action has been confirmed after tensions rose between the Association and Al Ain Club. The issue started when Al Ain openly criticised refereeing decisions following their 2-1 win over Al Batayih Sports Club on Saturday. The club highlighted what it called “numerous controversial refereeing incidents” and rejected repeated mistakes that could harm its results in domestic competitions.

In response, the UAE Football Association (UAEFA) issued a strong statement. It stressed that questioning the integrity of Emirati referees is unacceptable. The Association made it clear that it will take legal action against Al Ain Club and anyone else who wrongly attacks the performance of its members.

UAEFA reminded clubs that they can request foreign referees under approved procedures if they are not satisfied with local officials. It also pointed out that administrative errors by Al Ain and its affiliates had increased in recent seasons. But the Association had handled these professionally through official channels.

The Football Association emphasised that the refereeing system is its responsibility alone, managed by qualified experts and committees. It urged Al Ain to focus on improving its internal performance instead of raising public disputes.

With UAE Football Association legal action now on the table. The clash between one of the country’s top clubs and football authorities highlights growing pressure on refereeing standards. And sportsmanship in UAE football.
