UAE and Ukraine Presidents discussed stronger cooperation during a phone call between UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The leaders reviewed bilateral ties in economic and development sectors.
They also explored ways to improve cooperation under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. The agreement aims to support long-term prosperity for both countries and their people.
The UAE and Ukraine Presidents also discussed major regional developments in the Middle East. They talked about the impact of ongoing tensions on regional and global peace and security. The two leaders highlighted concerns related to maritime security, energy supplies, and the global economy. These issues remain important for international stability and economic growth.
President Zelenskyy strongly condemned the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE. He said these attacks violated UAE sovereignty and international law. He also stressed that such actions threaten both regional and global security.
President Zelenskyy also praised the UAE’s humanitarian mediation efforts between Ukraine and Russia regarding prisoner exchanges.
