The second edition of the Sharjah Women Impact Fellowship (SWIF) was launched under the directive of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa).

The fellowship reflects Sheraa’s commitment to supporting women-led businesses. Women currently lead 49% of ventures supported by Sheraa, highlighting their growing role in the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Sheraa launches SWIF 2026 with its new LEAD Framework. It focuses on four key areas: Lead Self, Equip the Venture, Amplify Presence, and Drive Impact.

The framework helps founders improve self-awareness, resilience, leadership, and business skills. It also supports stronger professional visibility and sustainable business growth.

Participants will receive leadership assessments, personalized coaching, and practical learning opportunities. Fellows will also access Sheraa’s wider venture support through its Membership program. This includes the SME and Startup Tracks, as well as connections with investors, industry experts, and strategic partners.

Sara Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, CEO of Sheraa, said growing ventures require founders to develop stronger leadership skills. She highlighted the importance of confidence, clarity, and strategic guidance as businesses expand.

The first SWIF edition showed positive results. Most fellows expanded their teams, while improved investor readiness supported progress in funding outcomes. Fellows also gained valuable ecosystem connections and reported stronger confidence, decision-making, and strategic clarity.

The SWIF 2026 fellowship aims to build on these results and help more women entrepreneurs scale successful businesses while contributing to Sharjah’s innovation ecosystem and the UAE economy.
