Sharjah ruler child support became the center of attention after His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi made a strong and compassionate announcement. He declared that he will personally take responsibility for fathers who are unable to pay child support after separation or divorce.
The Sharjah ruler explained that courts must apply not only the law but also the “spirit of the law.” He stressed that humanity, compassion, and fairness should guide legal rulings, especially when children and mothers are involved. Judges were told to verify if a father truly cannot pay. If the father is honest and genuinely unable to provide, His Highness said: “I am responsible for him.”
In one case, the ruler intervened when a man sold his house, left his wife and children, and fled the country. His Highness directed that the family be given a new home, fully equipped and furnished. He also ordered that harsh terms like “forced execution” be replaced with softer alternatives, such as “enabling the property owner.”
The Sharjah ruler child support approach highlights his belief that justice must go beyond simple numbers. He reminded judges not to rush cases. But to study each file carefully, since they deal with people’s lives and futures.
He also addressed the fair distribution of industrial. And commercial lands in Khorfakkan, ensuring they are given only to people with expertise in those fields. His message was clear: leadership means protecting families, upholding justice, and creating balance in society.
