Sharjah Airport has announced it is gearing up for a surge in passenger traffic this summer, with more than 800,000 travellers expected between July 1 and 15, 2025. To handle this peak season, the airport has implemented a comprehensive plan to ensure a smooth travel experience for passengers during the first two weeks of July.
The Sharjah Airport Authority urged all travellers to arrive at least three hours before their scheduled departure to avoid delays and complete travel procedures comfortably. Passengers are also encouraged to check flight updates with their respective airlines before heading to the airport.
The summer rush comes as many UAE residents travel back to their home countries or cooler destinations for vacations. The recent announcement of a ceasefire in the Iran-Israel conflict has also helped stabilize regional air travel, following an Iranian strike on a US base in Qatar.
Most UAE airlines resumed their normal operations shortly after the incident, and Sharjah-based Air Arabia confirmed it is gradually restarting flights on previously suspended routes as regional airspace reopens.
Sharjah Airport Authority assured passengers that customer service staff and operations teams are working round the clock to provide assistance, answer queries, and help travellers use the airport’s smart services with ease.
Earlier, Dubai Airports, Emirates, and Etihad Airways had also advised passengers to arrive early and use online check-in options to cope with the busy summer travel season.
