Ras Al Khaimah VVIP Terminal: New Facility to Welcome High-End Travellers

Ras Al Khaimah VVIP Terminal

The Ras Al Khaimah VVIP Terminal is set to transform travel for high-end visitors to the emirate. Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has announced plans to build a new VVIP terminal and a private jet hangar. The project aims to support luxury travellers heading to the emirate’s beach resorts and the upcoming Wynn Al Marjan Island resort, which will open in early 2027.

The project was revealed at the Dubai Airshow. It is being developed in partnership with Falcon Executive Aviation, part of Alex Group Investment. Under the agreement, Falcon will build and operate a modern Fixed Base Operation (FBO) facility. It will include a 1,500sqm terminal, an 8,000sqm multi-purpose hangar and 9,000sqm of apron and aircraft parking areas.

The new Ras Al Khaimah VVIP Terminal will offer a Royal lounge, four VVIP lounges and premium hospitality spaces. It will also include airside features such as a helipad, spacious aircraft parking and areas for future vertical mobility solutions. The hangar will support various private jets, including ultra-long-range aircraft, and offer maintenance and operational services.

Airport officials said the development strengthens the emirate’s aviation network and supports growth in luxury tourism. The design meets LEED Gold standards. The facility will use solar power to cover 35% of its energy needs. It will also rely on electric ground equipment and support sustainable aviation fuel.

Construction will take 15 months. The opening is planned for the first quarter of 2027.

This expansion further connects the emirate to global travellers and supports its long-term tourism goals.
