Emirati publishing presence grows as Menassah Distribution takes part in the 16th Al Ain Book Festival at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. The event is organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre and brings together 75 local Emirati publishing houses. Menassah aims to support culture, promote books, and highlight the value of reading in society.
By joining the festival, Menassah shows strong support for local writers and the book industry. The festival offers book fairs, author talks, creative workshops, and activities for families. These programmes take place at Al Ain’s heritage sites, giving visitors a chance to enjoy culture and learning at the same time.
This year’s event features 494 titles covering many fields of knowledge and literature. These books represent some of the best work from regional publishers. In total, the festival showcases nearly two thousand books, reflecting how Emirati publishing presence grows in local and international markets.
Rashid Al Kous, General Manager of Menassah, said the festival helps bring the community closer to knowledge. He highlighted Al Ain’s long history of storytelling through traditional gatherings and markets. These cultural traditions continue today with events like this festival.
He added that the Menassah “Distribution Platform” keeps improving its services to better share Emirati creative work. Through its participation, Menassah hopes to give visitors a better experience and expand audiences for Emirati publishers. This supports the festival’s goal of becoming a lasting centre for creativity and cultural exchange.
