The Volunteering and Community Engagement Ecosystem launched in the UAE reflects the leadership’s vision for sustainable human development. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the initiative strengthens the nation’s approach to building a society centered on people as the main focus of development.
He stated that the Volunteering and Community Engagement Ecosystem enhances social unity, shared responsibility, and cooperation between the government, private sector, and public-benefit institutions. It aims to create a cohesive and future-ready community built on values of giving and solidarity.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted that the UAE’s success is based on its people’s generosity and sense of responsibility. He said the ecosystem gives every citizen and resident a chance to contribute actively to national progress and quality of life.
Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan added that the initiative empowers individuals to support comprehensive and sustainable development, while Sheikha Maryam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of instilling volunteer values in youth.
Minister Shamma Al Mazrui said this step marks a new phase of cooperation between the government and society. Minister Ohood Al Roumi noted that the “Barakatna” initiative encourages federal employees to volunteer as part of this national vision.
This framework reinforces the UAE’s commitment to human-centered growth and active community participation.
