Sharjah-based sustainability leader Beeah has made a big move into the real estate sector by launching Khalid bin Sultan City, a multi-billion dirham freehold development located between Dhaid Road and Khorfakkan Road. This new Beeah real estate project promises to redefine Sharjah property investment opportunities.
Designed by the famous Zaha Hadid, Khalid bin Sultan City is a mixed-use, sustainable development planned to achieve net-zero emissions and zero waste. The project aims to be a sustainable smart city, with future-ready elements such as decentralised digital identities for residents.
Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO of Beeah Group, shared that the master plan will be LEED-certified, underlining its green credentials. The city will feature seven neighbourhoods, launched in phases, and will be completely freehold — open to all nationalities. According to Al Huraimel, prices will be extremely competitive, attracting both investors and end users.
Sharjah’s real estate market has shown strong growth, with sales increasing by 31% in Q1 of this year compared to last year. The CEO highlighted that quality housing in Sharjah is still in high demand, and past projects have sold out within hours. This has kept property prices rising, as supply continues to lag behind demand for freehold properties in Sharjah.
While most property buyers are still GCC nationals and Arabs, the Asian community’s interest is rising fast, thanks to Sharjah’s strategic location and its expanding international airport.
The launch date for sales in Khalid bin Sultan City will be announced soon, with expectations high for a strong investor response to this visionary new project.
