Child Safety Forum 2025 opened in Sharjah under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council. The event gathered experts in psychology, education, digital safety, and family welfare. The forum aims to support families and strengthen child protection systems as society and technology rapidly change.
Her Highness stressed that protecting children is a moral duty and a shared responsibility. She encouraged parents to spend quality time with their children, listen to their emotions, and guide them with care. She explained that a strong family relationship builds confidence and helps children face challenges without fear. Child Safety Forum 2025 highlights how family presence is the strongest form of protection.
Speakers at the event discussed modern risks, especially those coming from the digital world. Experts explained that children today face online content that may not match family values. They noted that protection now extends inside the home, urging parents to understand children’s feelings and stay involved in their daily lives.
The forum held key sessions on emotional security, the impact of social pressure, and the importance of fathers in child development. Experts called for open dialogue, clear rules, and positive role-modelling to strengthen children’s resilience.
Attendees also explored the “Emotions Room,” an interactive space showing how love, neglect, or abuse affects a child’s inner world. The event also featured a “Law Platform” to review national child protection laws and invite community suggestions.
The forum supports Sharjah’s long-term vision to remain a safe, family-friendly emirate and aligns with the UAE’s designation of 2026 as the “Year of the Family.”
