Indian expat student UAE tragedy has shocked the community in Sharjah after a 17-year-old girl died following a cardiac arrest. Aisha Mariam, a Grade 11 student at Sharjah Indian School, passed away on Thursday, according to her family. She had celebrated her 17th birthday earlier this month, on December 9.

The Indian expat student UAE reportedly fell ill suddenly at her home. Her family rushed her to a private hospital in Sharjah. Doctors tried to revive her, but she remained unresponsive. She was pronounced dead on Thursday afternoon. Doctors have not yet confirmed whether she had any underlying medical condition. Her medical history is not immediately known.

Aisha belonged to a family from Kerala in southern India. Her parents, Muhammed Saife and Rubeena Muhammed Saife, are now completing legal procedures to take her body back home. Repatriation formalities are being handled by a legal service firm from her native district of Kannur. Her mortal remains are currently kept at the Sharjah Police Mortuary.

Arrangements are underway to transport her body to Kerala once all official approvals are completed. Family members and friends have expressed deep grief over the sudden loss. The school community is also said to be in shock.

This is the second reported case in recent months involving the death of an Indian teenage student in the UAE due to cardiac arrest. In October, an 18-year-old Indian expat student died in Dubai during Diwali celebrations. These incidents have raised fresh concerns among parents about sudden cardiac issues in young people.

Authorities have not issued further details so far. The family is awaiting the completion of all procedures before the final rites in India.
