Great Arab Minds 2025 winners were honoured by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Museum of the Future in Dubai. This initiative celebrates outstanding Arab talent and achievements across science, technology, culture, and arts.
The award recognises six categories: Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Economics, Natural Sciences, Architecture and Design, and Literature and Arts. The 2025 winners include Professor Abbas El Gamal (Engineering and Technology). Dr. Nabil Seidah (Medicine), Professor Badi Hani (Economics), Professor Majed Chergui (Natural Sciences), Dr. Suad Amiry (Architecture and Design). And Professor Charbel Dagher (Literature and Arts).
Sheikh Mohammed said the awards aim to expand horizons for Arab talent and inspire future generations. “We honour Great Arab Minds 2025 for achievements that advance civilisation and build societies,” he said.
Dr. Suad Amiry, who documented and preserved Palestinian architecture through the Riwaq Centre, said winning the award was a great honour. Professor Majed Chergui highlighted the unity of the Arab world in his achievements, while Dr. Nabil Seidah emphasized the value of knowledge as a lifelong asset.
The initiative is supported by high-level specialised committees and senior officials. It serves as a platform to showcase Arab creativity, innovation, and intellectual contribution globally. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, said the awards encourage young people to take active roles in shaping society. And the future of the Arab world.
