Cristiano Ronaldo is set to enter Hollywood’s fast lane

Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel has confirmed that a role has been written for Ronaldo in Fast X: Part 2, fueling excitement ahead of the franchise’s expected finale. Universal Pictures has yet to make an official announcement.

Diesel shared the news on Instagram alongside a photo of himself with Ronaldo, writing: “Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him.” The post immediately sparked speculation about Ronaldo’s on-screen debut in one of the world’s most successful action franchises.

While Universal Pictures has yet to make an official casting announcement, Diesel’s statement strongly suggests that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is set to appear in what is widely expected to be the final major chapter of the Fast & Furious saga.

Ronaldo, currently playing for Al-Nassr, has not publicly confirmed the role but has recently shown growing interest in film and entertainment. Earlier this year, he co-founded UR*MARV, an independent film studio, with British director Matthew Vaughn, marking his first serious step into the movie business.

Fast & Furious heads toward the finish line

Fast X: Part 2 is scheduled for release in April 2027 and has been described by Diesel as the culmination of more than two decades of high-speed storytelling centered on family, loyalty, and adrenaline-fueled action.

Diesel has previously teased a return to Los Angeles, a renewed focus on street racing, and an emotionally charged reunion involving Brian O’Conner, the character played by the late Paul Walker. That possibility has already stirred strong emotions among long-time fans.

Details around the cast remain tightly guarded. Universal has not confirmed the return of major stars, including Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, or Jordana Brewster, though most are widely expected to appear.

If confirmed, Ronaldo’s appearance would mark one of the most high-profile athlete crossovers into Hollywood action cinema, adding star power to a franchise already known for pushing boundaries.

From football stadiums to fast cars and film sets, Cristiano Ronaldo’s next move may be his boldest yet.
