Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has spoken publicly about the ongoing strain in his relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, stating that he currently has no intention of reconciling with them. In a series of Instagram stories shared on Monday, Brooklyn addressed long-running speculation about tensions within the Beckham family and offered his perspective for the first time.
In his statement, Brooklyn claimed that his parents have repeatedly interfered in his marriage to actor Nicola Peltz, whom he wed in 2022. He said that public narratives about the family have largely been shaped by his parents and explained that he felt compelled to respond after years of silence.
Brooklyn highlighted several moments he believes contributed to the breakdown in their relationship. He alleged that during his wedding, Victoria Beckham chose not to design Nicola’s bridal outfit despite earlier conversations, leading Nicola to wear a Valentino haute couture gown instead. He also claimed disagreements arose over seating arrangements at the reception and alleged that his mother disrupted what was intended to be his first dance with his wife.
According to Brooklyn, Nicola has faced ongoing disrespect from his family, despite efforts by the couple to preserve harmony. He said attempts to reconnect privately — including traveling to London around David Beckham’s birthday — were unsuccessful, alleging that proposed meetings were either declined or made conditional, sometimes excluding Nicola.
Addressing claims that Nicola exerts control over him, Brooklyn firmly denied the suggestion. He said distancing himself from his family has brought him peace and helped ease anxiety he had carried for years.
David and Victoria Beckham have not publicly responded to Brooklyn’s remarks. His post marks one of the most direct acknowledgements to date of the personal rift within the Beckham family, bringing renewed attention to years of speculation surrounding their relationship.
