ALECGS Wins King Salman Award for Arabic Language

ALECGS wins King Salman Award in the Arabic Language Research and Scientific Studies category. The Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah, UAE, achieved this honor for its outstanding contribution to Arabic language education. The award was presented to Dr Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of ALECGS, by Professor Dr Abdullah Al-Washmi, Secretary-General of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, at a ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This recognition highlights ALECGS’s efforts in Arabic language research and education. The Centre has developed high-quality educational programs, teaching guides, and strategies to improve Arabic language learning. Its initiatives include setting standards for teaching Arabic, training teachers, and creating frameworks for Arabic language assessments. The Centre also works on teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and developing regional and international testing standards.

Dr Al Hammadi praised the King Salman Global Academy for its dedication to advancing the Arabic language. He dedicated the award to the wise leadership of the Gulf States, the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), and His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for supporting ALECGS with resources and facilities. This recognition encourages the Centre to continue developing programs and research that strengthen Arabic language research and education across the Gulf region.

The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language Award is one of the most prestigious awards for individuals and institutions contributing to Arabic language development. ALECGS’s win reflects its excellence in research, educational policy, and regional collaboration.
