AI system for UAE work permits has been launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) to automate the processing of applications and reduce human involvement. The new technology, named Eye, was unveiled at Gitex Global 2025 as part of the UAE’s vision to make government services smarter and faster.
The AI system for UAE work permits uses an advanced AI Agent to verify personal photos, passports, and academic certificates. It ensures that all documents are authentic and accurate before approval. This helps the Ministry reduce manual checks, speed up processing, and prevent human errors.
MoHRE currently issues 13 types of work permits for companies registered with the Ministry. Every worker in the UAE must have a valid work permit under UAE Labour Law. And employers are not allowed to hire anyone without one.
Applicants must submit documents like a passport valid for six months, photographs, a copy of their employment contract, entry permit, and attested educational certificates. Employers also need to provide a trade licence and establishment card.
With the integration of artificial intelligence, MoHRE aims to simplify these steps. The AI system will automatically cross-check information and verify all submissions quickly and accurately. This move supports the UAE’s national goal of building efficient, tech-driven public services.
By reducing human intervention and improving accuracy. The Ministry is setting a new standard for digital transformation in the labour sector.
