‘No Need for People Any More’: Mohamed Alabbar says AI will halve Noon jobs

AI Will Halve Jobs

AI Will Halve Jobs is becoming a major topic in the business world after Mohamed Alabbar shared bold plans for Noon and Emaar. The billionaire businessman said Noon will reduce its workforce by 50 percent within the next three months because artificial intelligence is now handling many tasks inside the company.

Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar and co-founder of Noon, said he already uses 12 AI agents in his daily work. He explained that these AI systems can manage interviews, analyse candidates, and support business decisions. According to him, AI is improving speed and efficiency across operations.

He also revealed that Emaar has not hired new employees for the past three years. Despite that, the company’s business has grown by 150 percent. Alabbar believes technology and automation are helping companies achieve better results with fewer workers. The statement has sparked discussions about the future of jobs in the UAE and beyond.

AI Will Halve Jobs is also linked to the wider technology push happening in the UAE. The country continues to invest heavily in artificial intelligence, data centres, and digital transformation. Global companies such as Microsoft, Nvidia, and OpenAI are also increasing partnerships in the region.

However, experts say AI will also create new opportunities. Reports suggest the UAE will need more technology specialists, programmers, and digital marketing experts by 2030. While automation may reduce some traditional roles, demand for skilled workers in the tech sector is expected to grow rapidly.
