Sharjah Al Majarrah Park reopened in the Emirate of Sharjah after a major redesign led by the Sharjah Art Foundation. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi officially inaugurated the park on May 21, 2026. The renewed park reflects Sharjah’s vision of supporting art, culture, and community life. The project creates a modern public space where families, residents, and visitors can enjoy cultural and recreational activities together.
The park is located in the Al Majarrah area of Sharjah. During the inauguration, the Ruler toured the redesigned spaces and explored artistic installations inspired by the memories and daily life of Sharjah residents. The park was designed to strengthen community connections and create a welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages.
Sharjah Al Majarrah Park now includes many new facilities. Visitors can enjoy a running track, football and basketball courts, climbing nets, and skating areas. The park also offers open gathering spaces for cultural events, art programs, and social activities. Green areas and water fountains add beauty to the environment while promoting relaxation and healthy living.
The project is part of the public art initiatives by the Sharjah Art Foundation. The foundation continues to support art in public spaces through projects like Rain Room and other creative installations across the emirate. These projects help connect art with everyday life and encourage community participation.
