Ashish Kapoor arrested for rape following a complaint of assault during a house party. Television actor Ashish Kapoor, known for roles in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Dekha Ek Khwaab, was taken into custody in Pune on September 3, 2025. After the woman filed an FIR at Delhi’s Civil Lines police station.
Ashish Kapoor arrested for rape. According to the FIR, the incident occurred in the second week of August at a house party in Delhi. Where the complainant alleged she was sexually assaulted inside a washroom. The victim met Kapoor via Instagram and claimed her drink was spiked, leaving her disoriented before the assault. She initially named multiple individuals but later narrowed her allegations solely to Kapoor, asserting he threatened to leak a video if she approached the police.
CCTV footage shows Kapoor and the victim entering the bathroom together. And followed by an argument when others knocked on the door. According to the complainant, she was assaulted outside by the host’s wife, who later made a PCR call to the police. Kapoor was traced across states—from Delhi to Goa and finally Pune—where authorities arrested him. The case is now under detailed investigation by Delhi Police.
