Laapataa Ladies Dominates IIFA Awards 2025 with 10 Wins

Jaipur hosted the IIFA Awards silver jubilee celebration on March 9, marking 25 years of Bollywood excellence. In addition, Bollywood’s elite gathered in Jaipur to honor standout films and talented crews from the 2024 showreel. Later in the evening, Kareena Kapoor Khan dedicated a heartfelt tribute to her grandfather and legendary showman Raj Kapoor.

Furthermore, Kiran Rao’s debut film, Laapataa Ladies, stole the spotlight by clinching 10 major awards, including Best Director, Best Performance in a Leading Role (Female), and Best Debut. Similarly, Kartik Aaryan secured the Best Performance in a Leading Role (Male) award, while Raghav Juyal earned accolades for his powerful negative role in Kill. Additionally, debutante Nitanshi Goel captured Best Performance in a Leading Role (Female) for her role as Phool Kumari, thereby outshining competitors like Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
