Seven Arrested in Sharjah

Authorities stated that a Sharjah local was fatally injured during a fight in an industrial zone in the emirate on Wednesday. The police’s preliminary investigation indicated that the altercation began due to an unpaid Dh600.

The Sharjah Police reported that seven Asian expatriates were detained for assaulting three siblings with sticks and knives, resulting in one fatality and injuries to the others. The brothers were being demanded by the attackers to settle their debt.

The event started as a heated verbal dispute and later turned into a lethal physical assault, as stated in a report released by the Arabic newspaper Al Khaleej. The injured individuals were quickly taken to the hospital as the suspects escaped from the location.

Upon receiving the report of the incident, the Sharjah Police swiftly identified and located the perpetrators, resulting in their apprehension within a span of two hours.

The seven people admitted to the attack, acknowledging they targeted the victims due to a money problem.

Sharjah Police advised residents to consistently adhere to legal procedures in handling disputes. Instances that cannot be resolved peacefully should be brought to the attention of the authorities.
