Following their victory in the mixed doubles badminton event for China, Haong Yaqiong was surprised with a marriage proposal from her longtime friend and compatriot, men’s doubles player Liu Yuchen.
Haong Yaqiong and Zhiheng Sui had just secured the top spot, when Liu Yuchen took the opportunity to propose to Haong Yaqiong. Overwhelmed with joy, Haong Yaqiong gladly accepted.
