Indian expat strikes gold, wins Dh1 million in UAE lottery

Nagendram Borugadda, a 46-year-old electrician originally from India, has achieved a life-changing milestone by winning Dh1 million in the latest National Bonds draw.

His journey to becoming a millionaire is a testament to his dedication to savings and providing for his family’s future.

Arriving in the UAE in 2017 with the goal of securing a better life for his family, Borugadda, a father of two children aged 18 and 14, focused on hard work and prudent financial planning.

Since 2019, he diligently saved Dh100 each month through National Bonds, a strategy that eventually led to his unexpected windfall.

“It’s truly overwhelming. I came to the UAE to build a better life for my family and provide a good education for my children.

This win feels surreal. National Bonds has given me a chance to finally secure their future and fulfill my long-held aspirations for their education,” Borugadda expressed gratefully.

His story is a reminder of how consistent savings and perseverance can lead to unexpected rewards, enabling dreams to become reality.

Alongside Borugadda, Abdulla Ali, an Emirati winner, also secured the Dh1 million grand prize in April 2024, marking another chapter of financial success through National Bonds.
