Sharjah Old Cars Club concluded its “A Holiday Reimagined 2026” program after engaging 149 young participants through 60 activities, strengthening skills, community partnerships, and national identity across Sharjah.

The Sharjah Old Cars Club (SOCC) has concluded its “A Holiday Reimagined 2026” summer program, marking another successful edition that combined education, recreation, creativity, and community engagement to provide young participants with a meaningful holiday experience.
The closing ceremony was held at the Sharjah Classic Cars Museum and attended by Dr. Ali Ahmed Abu Al Zoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Classic Cars Club, alongside representatives from government entities, private-sector organizations, sponsors, and community partners who contributed to the program’s success.
The initiative, organized under the guidance of the Sharjah Sports Council, attracted 149 participants across two age groups, including 93 juniors and 56 youth participants. Throughout the program, they took part in 60 educational, cultural, sporting, recreational, creative, and awareness activities designed to develop practical skills while encouraging teamwork, innovation, and personal growth.
Participants also benefited from 14 specialized workshops, competitions, interactive challenges, and educational field trips that offered hands-on learning experiences in an engaging environment.
A key feature of this year’s program was its extensive community collaboration. SOCC partnered with 36 government, private, and community organizations, supported by 15 sponsors, while five additional organizations delivered specialized activities that enriched the overall experience.
Volunteerism also played a central role in the program’s success. Fifteen volunteers contributed a combined 1,920 volunteer hours, assisting with the organization and delivery of activities while promoting the values of cooperation, civic responsibility, and community service among young participants.
Ahmed Saif bin Handhal, Director of the Sharjah Classic Cars Museum and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Sharjah Summer Sports Program, said the program’s achievements reflected the vision of the club’s Board of Directors and the continued support of the Sharjah Sports Council in creating a comprehensive summer initiative that blends learning with entertainment.
He said the program was designed to help young people make productive use of their summer break by developing their skills, reinforcing national identity, and encouraging lifelong learning through practical experiences.
Bin Handhal credited the program’s success to the combined efforts of the organizing committee, volunteers, government agencies, private-sector partners, sponsors, and parents, noting that their collaboration helped deliver a high-quality experience for participants.
He added that strong satisfaction levels among participants and their families would encourage the club to further enhance future editions by introducing new ideas and innovative activities that continue to meet community expectations.
To measure the program’s effectiveness, SOCC conducted 205 evaluation surveys involving parents, participants, partner organizations, and sponsors. The feedback will be used to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen future editions.
The Sharjah Old Cars Club reaffirmed its commitment to expanding community-focused initiatives that combine heritage, culture, education, and recreation. The club said it aims to build on this year’s achievements while further establishing “A Holiday Reimagined” as one of Sharjah’s leading summer programs for children and young people, promoting creativity, teamwork, and lifelong learning.
