UAE to launch unified licence platform for medical professionals

UAE

The UAE is preparing to introduce a unified national platform for healthcare worker licensing. This move, announced by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), will allow medical professionals to work across both public and private healthcare facilities in the country.

Alla Mansour Yahya, acting director of the Licensing and Accreditation Department at MoHAP UAE, explained, “This national health project consolidates efforts from various health entities into a single platform. Currently, each entity issues licenses with different requirements. The new system will simplify these processes, eliminate redundancy, and standardize procedures.”

Although the exact launch date has not been disclosed, Yahya confirmed that the platform is almost ready. She stated, “We are working closely with health entities, and the initiative is in its final stages.” The platform will be launched soon.

The unified platform is designed to significantly reduce the time and effort required for healthcare professionals to obtain licenses. Yahya emphasized, “This will allow professionals to easily practice across both public and private hospitals. It will ensure smoother transitions and enhance efficiency in the healthcare sector.”

The National Platform for Unifying Health Professions Licenses will benefit various stakeholders, including facility owners, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals. By standardizing licensing procedures and reducing repetitive steps, the platform is set to improve user experience and speed up the licensing process.
