Sharjah is set to host the GCC’s longest ‘green river’, part of a newly unveiled Dh3.5-billion (nearly $1-billion) mixed-use development by Kuwait Real Estate Company (Aqarat) and IFA Hotels and Resorts.
A Landmark Development for Sharjah
Situated on Emirates Road near Sharjah Grand Mosque, the ‘green river’ will span 2.5 kilometers within the Al Tay Hills project. Designed as a recreational centerpiece, the river will feature lush green spaces and natural beauty. It will act as the community’s central artery and provide a fresh, sustainable living environment.
It includes dedicated walking paths, relaxation areas, and an emphasis on fresh air for residents and visitors alike.
Furthermore, the expansive development will also include playgrounds, a mosque, restaurants, a café, and retail outlets. Additional features include swimming pools and 11 kilometers of walking and cycling paths. Spanning six million square feet, Al Tay Hills will feature 1,100 townhouses and villas. These homes will range from three to six bedrooms, with prices starting at Dh1.8 million and reaching up to Dh7.2 million.
