Sharjah is taking a stand for a cleaner and healthier emirate. The Ruler of Sharjah, Dr. Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi, has issued a directive requiring all residential and commercial buildings on main roads in industrial areas to be connected to the sewage network immediately.
This move prioritizes public health and environmental well-being. A functional sewage system reduces reliance on septic tanks, which can pose health risks and contribute to pollution. Additionally, it eliminates the need for deploying tankers to drain floodwater, streamlining waste management and preventing potential hazards.
Dr. Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi emphasizes the importance of proper infrastructure planning. “We don’t leave new housing projects in the emirate’s cities like this,” he stated in a previous interview. “We plan the sewage, gas, roads, and greening. I follow every detail in these projects.”
This directive reflects Sharjah’s commitment to developing a modern and sustainable living environment for its residents. By prioritizing essential services like sewage systems, the emirate is taking a crucial step towards a healthier and more resilient future.
