ADNEC acquires Royal Catering to strengthen its leadership in UAE’s catering and events industry

Abu Dhabi’s leading business group, ADNEC, has acquired Royal Catering Services, which currently holds the capacity to prepare over 50,000 meals daily. Royal Catering serves clients across key sectors, including energy, defense, healthcare, and education, while employing more than 2,500 staff members.

ADNEC already has Capital Catering as part of its portfolio, and through this acquisition of Royal Catering, it aims to significantly expand its service offerings for both current and future clients. ADNEC stands as a premier name in Abu Dhabi’s exhibitions and events sector.

Bill O’Regan, CEO of Modon Holdings—of which ADNEC is a part—stated, “This move aligns with Modon Holding’s strategy to continuously expand our portfolio and provide world-class services to residents and businesses in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.”

Notably, the deal comes at a time when ADNEC Catering, which holds the largest market share in its category within the UAE, has recently completed a successful IPO and is preparing to list on the ADX.

Commenting on the acquisition, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group, said, “The acquisition of Royal Catering marks a crucial step in our broader strategy to strengthen ADNEC Group’s position as a key player in Abu Dhabi’s and the UAE’s catering and events ecosystem.”
