Sharjah Ruler visits renowned Ambrosiana Library in Milan

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, began a cultural visit on Thursday to the historic Ambrosiana Library in Milan, Italy.

The library was founded in 1609, and is a wealth of knowledge, possessing an outstanding collection of manuscripts, books, and artifacts.

Sheikh Dr. Sultan was welcomed by a group of delegates, including significant figures in Sharjah’s cultural and intellectual community. During his visit, he toured sections of the library, learning about the library’s extensive collection covering science, culture, history, and art.

As part of the visit, he inspected the library’s rare Islamic and Arabic manuscripts, which were undeniably priceless. Sheikh Dr. Sultan reviewed some of the most valuable treasures, including a Qur’an of some date and provenance, and several centuries-old editions of medical texts, and lost archives of pages shared of Arabian tales, and Islamic heritage audience societal copies of the art and literature into distinct categories as well as interconnected culture while revealing ways to integrate the erotema impossible to demonstrate.
