Pakistani travelers going to UAE on visit visas will now undergo more thorough checks at Pakistani airports to confirm they meet all necessary criteria before their flights.
According to a senior official, this action aims to stop individuals who do not follow visa rules from entering the UAE.
Industry professionals suggest that visitors from Pakistan must show proof of at least AED 3,000 in funds, a return ticket, and either a confirmed hotel booking or proof of staying with family members when traveling to the UAE. Visitors who fail to meet these requirements may be refused entry and returned to their countries of origin.
During Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day celebrations in Dubai, Consul-General Hussain Muhammad stressed the importance of the 1.7 million Pakistani expats in the UAE following local laws and honoring the customs and traditions of the host nation. He emphasized that the UAE is very strict with enforcing its laws, and breaking them could lead to fines or imprisonment.
Each individual from Pakistan serves as an ambassador for their nation. Certain tourists come with visas but do not fulfill the required criteria. We have brought up this matter with the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) and airport officials in Pakistan. “In the future, individuals who fail to meet the criteria will be halted directly at the airport,” Muhammad declared.
During a past discussion, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, also warned against utilizing tourist visas for job purposes in the UAE. He recommended that individuals looking for jobs should opt for an employment visa.
In 2023-24, more than 230,000 Pakistanis relocated to the UAE, making it the second most preferred choice for Pakistani expatriates after Saudi Arabia due to promising opportunities.
