Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan got a health scare during the IPL 2024 playoffs in Ahmedabad. The actor, a huge supporter of his cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), was admitted to KD Hospital on Tuesday for dehydration.
The heat seems to have been the culprit. Ahmedabad was scorching, with temperatures reaching a dangerous 45 degrees Celsius. The weather department even issued a red alert for the city.
Shah Rukh Khan had arrived in Ahmedabad a couple of days before the match, excited to cheer on his team. After the KKR vs. SRH playoff match, he returned to the team hotel with a grand welcome. But by the next morning, dehydration took its toll.
Thankfully, the hospital staff treated him promptly, and he was discharged after receiving primary care. Doctors advised Shah Rukh Khan to take plenty of rest to recover fully.
